Hair Update!

I finally got the chop yesterday! It wasn't as hard as I thought it'd be. I guess I was well and truly over having long limp hair. Its now just past my shoulders with lots of layers. I have a side fringe happening now too! It turned out just like the picture I showed to my HD. I could feel the difference in weight immediately! Just what I needed for summer!

It's currently scrunched into messy beachy waves using MUK Sea Salt Spray. Review of that to come later! Can't wait to play around with my new hairdo more. The length is so much more versatile now.

OPI - Jade is the New Black! Bonus Konading

My 2 OPI's arrived on Friday (Jade is the New Black and Suzi Says Feng Shui) but I haven't had a chance to test them out until now! I initially put on Suzi says Feng Shui but then changed my mind because I've been wearing a lot of blue polish lately. I had already done 1 coat of Suzi so I just added Jade on top. Due to my lack of skills you can see a bit of Suzi underneath haha. You can't see it in real life but my camera isn't very forgiving.

Anyway these are amazing! They apply so smoothly and only really need 1 coat if you're a polish pro! They are a deep blue and green and very wearable. The deepness makes it interesting and not too out there if you're into more modest colours. They both look very elegant and glossy on.

Konad - m63

I added some Konad stamping using plate m63 and the black special polish. I had seen this exact design on the net (which made me fall in love with Jade is the new Black!). I have a scarf that looks exactly like this and I adore it!! So I wanted to emulate it on my nails, of course! and...ta da!!

Getting the Chop!

After my mullet disaster I've booked myself in to get a haircut today!! I'm so excited, the last haircut I had was done 12 months ago. My hair seems to grow like a weed and it only seems like yesterday that it was at my shoulders. Now its below my waist!! Its currently long straight with short 5 cm pieces thrown in, blergh!! I resemble this at the moment, only with black hair.



I'm planning on getting it cut shorter and layered, something similar to this:



Fingers crossed it looks alright!!

Konading - Pretty Flowers

I added Konad stamping using plate m64. I decided to try and use my new China Glaze polish - Passion instead of the Konad Special Polish. Its a lovely chrome metallic gold. Its so lusciously thick and only needs one coat. I actually preferred using this instead of the konad polish. It was so much easier and quicker to use for some reason. This one took me about half the time compared to my last attempt. I love this combination, so happy with how it turned out!

Ulta3 - Flashback Fuchsia

I'm heading out tomorrow night to a fancy restaurant so I wanted to wear something darker. On the night I will be wearing my deep ruby red shimmery heels by Joanne Mercer (Love these to bits!) I always feel like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz when I wear them. They are in need of a clean first.



Flashback Fuchsia - mmm Glossy. I want to eat my nails!

So I've applied Flashback Fuchsia by Ulta3. Its a deep blood red bordering on burgundy. So vampy looking. I think it looks classy too. The glossiness of this is amazing, I can see my reflection it it! It was opaque in only 1 coat. It is quite thick and creamy in consistancy, which some people may love or hate. I applied 2 in this photo with a topcoat. It is a slighter deeper red in real life. (closest to the top photo) Reminds me of the coating of toffee apples, Yum! I'm planning on konading it with a gold design tomorrow to match my jewellery.

Hair Emergency!! Warning Mullet Mentioned.

Oh my goodness I am freaking out!! I was in a horrid mood and the knots in my hair were making it worse. So I started yanking out the knots with my hairbrush. I normally EASE my knots out but I just couldn't be arsed. Big mistake!!!

I turned to the mirror a couple of hours later to witness a quarter of my hair looking like below...



Yes that's right I have a quarter of a mullet!!! It appears that in my madness I had yanked my hair so hard that I broke off a whole big chunk of it. (cry). Around a quarter of my hair is only around 5cm long. The rest of hair is down to my waist, by the way. My sister advised me to gel my mullet pieces down. lol. I should probably get my haircut now.

Nude Lipstick - Rimmel Nude Delight

Nude Lipstick - The Hunt Begins!

I've got a craving for nude lipstick! I'm bored of wearing my usual dark browny pinky colours and need a change. After looking at some reviews I picked up Rimmel's Moisture Renew Lipstick in Nude Delight. I love the packaging of this, its so cute! The purple metallic casing is gorgeous!

I'm not sure if this colour really suits me. Its a sheer peachy nude. I think I'm more after a brownish nude. Or maybe even a pinkish nude...not sure yet. Need to do more swatching.

I'll definitely grab some other colours in this range as they are really moisturizing and smell nice too.

I also picked up Rimmel's Lasting Finish Lipstick in Birthday Suit. Its a bit darker so I have a feeling it will suit me more. Pics to come soon!

OPI - Catch Me in Your Net

OPI - Catch Me in Your Net (Summer Flutter Collection)

I seem to be drawn to blues at the moment and as soon as I laid eyes on this I knew I had to have it!

This is such a happy, pretty and sparkly blue/green. This pic was taken of 2 coats with a topcoat. My pics no not do this colour justice. It's so amazing in real life, you have to see it!

OPI

Apparantly OPI is one of the best polishes out there so of course I had to try them out for yourself! I was quite impressed! I think I will be needing more of these! I only have 4 so far in my collection with 3 on the way. Will post pics of them soon!

In the meantime here is:

Rumples Wiggin (Shrek Collection)

This is a pale lavender pinky colour that is a little bit streaky to apply and needed around 3 coats. The overall finish is amazing though and worth it! I added some nail bling to my pinky and thumb. Really pretty!

Recent Nail Polish Purchases!! Ulta3

ULTA3

Alright Nail Polish is my thing lately! Can't get enough of them and I have quite a few now! I mostly use the amazing brand Ulta3, which can be found at certain pharmacies in Australia. They have a range of gorgeous and in trend colours. They wear really well and the majority of them apply beautifully for only $2!!

I also really like OPI and China Glaze but they are a bit pricier so unfortunately don't have as many. Hopefully Christmas will help boost that collection!

Another cheaper brand that I've been using since I was younger is Rimmel Nail Polish.

I find swatches really helpful when deciding on what colour to lust after hehe. So maybe you'll find mine useful too!

Firstly...Ulta3 Lollipop Lilac

This is absolutely stunning on! It applies really easily and I only really needed 1 coat. I applied 2, just because. It is a purplish metallic silver colour.

Ulta3 Spring Shower

This is a really pretty light bright blue creme that I love! Its so summer and fresh looking. It was nearly opaque after only 1 coat.

Konading

I recently purchased myself a Konad Nail Stamping Kit. You literally stamp a design onto your nail for professional looking nail art. Looks amazing on! If you are doing all fingers it can be time consuming with all the clean up involved. But maybe I just need to practise and will get quicker.

In envisioned myself Konading a few times a week but when I found out how long it takes...I think I'll just leave it for when I'm going out or on the weekends.

Here's my first attempt using Plate m63 over Spring Shower. I like it and my man does too! This is what is currently on my nails as I type.
